Staying at home for a long time might bring your mood down. Being passive for a lot time can also affect your self esteem and your relationship with the people around you. However, there are many tricks you could use in order to boost your mood and be more happy, energetic and productive.

1. Smile more often:

Smile right after you wake up and keep smiling during the day. Smiling more often boosts your mood. Therefore, you will not only be more happy, but you will feel more energetic and will feel the need to be more productive too.

2. Relax in the morning:

Relax while having your morning coffee. Think of something positive, listen to your favourite music (I find listening to  some saxophone covers of popular songs very helpful and refreshing).  You’ll find that quite refreshing. You’ll also feel more energetic and motivated to do things during the day.

3. Plan Out Your Day

Do what brings value to your life or you could make a list with all the things you want done for the day. Why don’t you grab your notebook and a pen and write down all those things you were about to do “tomorrow” and finish them today! For me, making plans for the day is very practical and a good way to “organise” my life a little bit.

4. Learn Something New

There are loads of tutorials on youtube. Think of something you always wanted to learn but didn’t have enough time to and go for it.
I am currently learning ASL language and I definitely feel much better and that I am not wasting my time.

5. Clean the house

I do love cleaning and this activity always makes me feel so satisfied. If you are like me, just pick one room a day and deep clean it from top to bottom. You would boost your mood everyday, few days in a roll.

6. Exercise

I do not like exercising so much, but it boosts my mood a lot. It’s scientific fact that exercises have positive impact on you mood, so if you feel down, try exercising for 10-15 minutes and you’ll notice the difference instantly.
